Sorry for the lack of new blog entries but I suffered a rather
severe heart attack just six months ago and have needed to take things easy
since. Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.
Sorry to hear that you have been stricken thus, sir. I fir one look forward to hearing more from you once you are able to deal with wrestling with a computer once more.
If I only knew how to connect with you in non-local consciousness and be a grateful active conduit in your healing. As such, I say please stay with us a bit longer. I am learning from your work.
Here’s hoping you feel much better soon. I’m reading “Magic and Power of the Goddess” for the first time, and loving every minute of it....And I’ve been studying the circle cross since Bill Gray released his cassettes 40+ years ago. Just goes to show, that there is always more to learn. Thank you for your wonderful body of work. Looking forward to the next addition! All the best, and happy holidays!
"And I saw another man. Tired and lame he dragged himself along the dusty road, across the deserted plain under the scorching rays of the sun. He glanced sidelong with foolish, staring eyes, a half smile, half leer on his face; he knew not where he went, but was absorbed in his chimerical dreams which ran constantly in the same circle. His fool's cap was put on wrong side front, his garments were torn in the back; a wild lynx with glowing eyes sprang upon him from behind a rock and buried her teeth in his flesh. He stumbled, nearly fell, but continued to drag himself along, all the time holding on his shoulder a bag containing useless things, which he, in his stupidity, carried wherever he went. Before him a crevice crossed the road and a deep precipice awaited the foolish wanderer. Then a huge crocodile with open mouth crawled out of the precipice. And I heard the voice say:-- 'Look! This is the same man.' I felt my head whirl. "What has he in the bag?" I inquired, not knowing why I asked. And after a long silence the voice replied: "The four magic symbols, the sceptre, the cup, the sword and the pentacle. The fool always carries them, although he has long since forgotten what they mean. Nevertheless they belong to him, even though he does not know their use. The symbols have not lost their power, they retain it in themselves." http://www.sacred-texts.com/tarot/sot/index.htm

My love to you as I send you wishes for a balanced and speedy recovery,as you feel and receive the soothing and healing Radiance of the Heavens.Good Day.
Gareth Knight, I have thought well before writing this message.
First of all, Death is unavoidable.
The initiates believe in Reincarnation. They know that the most important thing of each incarnation is to have learnt the lessons of Soul. When you become older and older, it is normal for you to die. When a true initiate reaches an old age, then it is the moment for him/her to meditate about his/her present incarnation. He/she meditates and assimilates all the lessons learnt in his/her present incarnation. In fact, a true initiate of an old age gets ready for death.
A very old initiate knows that he/she has no more time to learn more lessons in his/her current incarnation. Because he/she will die soon. He/she knows this fact. And for this reason he/she meditates about all the lessons learnt in his/her current incarnation. He/she also meditates about the mistakes maken during his/her whole life in order for him/her NOT to repeat them.
Changing the subject, there are too many writings about occultism at the present day. Really too many!
True initiates have wisely kept occultism in secret. In order for one to receive esoteric teachings: one must be prepared beforehand. This is an essential for Occult Science.
No sensible person will agree with the fact that Occult Science is public. At least with the fact that almost everything is published nowadays. This is a big mistake.
It might be acceptable that some of the Occult teachings are public. But when there are many, many and many (in fact, there are too many). This is a big mistake. Because almost everything about Occultism is currently published.
The reason for this is that one must deserve such teachings. Black magic is not the only one reason. You must certainly deserve them.
Gareth Knight, I think that you have published too much about occultism. If you had published few books, this would have been much better. Mankind is not still ready for such teachings.
If you removed most of your books from the market, you would be doing a lot of good to mankind.
You own the copyright of the books you have written and therefore you can remove your books from the public domain.
You have the right to refuse this piece of advice, if you will. But it would be much better for mankind, if you removed them from the public domain.
There's a lot I could say about your nonsensical rambling up above but I won't bother. Right now we stand on the precipice of another dark age. So the dissemination of good occult knowledge is more important now then ever. I welcome any and all new books/cds/etc. that Gareth Knight chooses to publish as do all the occultists I know. They stand out as among the best being written and published right now. I will certainly continue to buy his books and I encourage seekers to do so as well.
Those occultists who publish the secret teachings are certainly very popular. In fact, the more secret teachings they publish, the more popular they are. Even many people would like them to teach everybody occult powers.
The matter in question is whether or not those teachings have benefitted mankind.
In general, such teachings have not caused mankind to spiritually evolve. For this reason, the fact that almost the whole of the secret teachings are published is a big mistake.
If such teachings had caused quite a lot of people to spiritually evolve. In this case, it would have been a wise decision.
But the facts say the opposite. For example, most of the members of the Theosophical Society were not true initiates. Only a very few were. Something similar happens with most of the public fraternities nowadays.
For this reason, it is better for esoteric fraternities to be hidden, as in the past. It is not logical to publish the secret teachings ONLY for a very few. What is published is intended for the public in general. And since most of people are not ready for such teachings. For this reason it is a mistake.
Again, Dion Fortune kept some teachings secret. But Gareth Knight ended up publishing such teachings. In fact, some of the writings published by Gareth Knight are clearly against Dion Fortune's will.
For example "The Cosmic Doctrine" was firstly published in 1949 (after Dion Fortune's death). Dion Fortune's will was that "the Cosmic Doctrine is intended for members of the esoteric section ONLY".
I agree that it is acceptable that some of the secret teachings have been published. But the problem is that there are too many nowadays. And mankind has not take most of such teachings.
The Cosmic Doctrine, of all Fortune's writings is the most confusing and least helpful of all her work. The fact it was published means nothing. There are no real secrets.
On another tack, I wish someone would post an update on Gareth's well being.
Oh, Mr Knight, I hope you're well. I'm having some synchronicity here as I've just bought two of your books, which I felt I was being led to by a trail of breadcrumbs, and I see that the preface you wrote in one was written in Braintree in 1990 (town of my birth and where I lived in 1990) and I see in this blog that you were born in Mile End, Colchester, where I live now! I'm so discombobulated that I'm not writing this at all well, but I just want to wish you well. Sincerely.
Kind Sir, I found your site after reading a book by Dion Fortune-so pleased and so amazed by this womans writings and knowledge! I am still learning to use my own skills as a seer-and trying to find others 'like me'? I discovered your site here-and see you no longer use it? Please I pray--do let us know what happened--and I will sending light and blessings for you today. I sincerely do not often contact anyone online-but felt led here; and pray that you will kindly reply to all of those who seriously wish you the best of health. Love and Light, The Maiden

In fact "The Cosmic Doctrine" remained unpublished from 1923 to 1949. That is, a total of 26 years.
ReplyDeleteOf course, it was for members of the esoteric section only. Dion Fortune wanted this to be so.
And it was published without Dion Fortune's consent.
In fact, several important members of the Fraternity of the Inner Light were strongly opposed to the publication of this work.
The Cosmic Doctrine, of all Fortune's writings is the most confusing and least helpful of all her work. The fact it was published means nothing. There are no real secrets.
